Build Up 2017 Fishing Report
Hot calm conditions have prevailed this build up with only a few isolated storms heading out on the water. In typical Darwin fishing conditions this is the best time to experience some great barramundi and bluewater fishing.
Wide of Dundee the great run of spanish mackerel has continued as well as loads of excited tuna schools busting the surface.
Some good golden snapper are also keeping clients busy on the reefs, the build up is prime time for goldies as they move inshore to spawn. Coral trout have also been in good form and always eager for a fresh fish bait or well presented soft plastic or vibe. We have been having heaps of fun with Zerek fish traps on the reefs accounting for some stonker trout.
The barra fishing this year has been above average for the build up, with good quality chrome barra around the rocks and the finniss river continues to fish well. Were still hunting for a red tag and hoping that one of our clients will crack a $10,000 red tagged barra.
If your looking for a Darwin fishing charter, we would love to show you some of the best fishing the Northern Territory has to offer.
